KGF distinguishes ordination into the Melchizedek Priesthood from consecration into a specific ministry office.
Ordination is a one-time, lifelong event within the fellowship. The ordinand is formally ordained as a Melchizedek Priest and receives priestly standing and spiritual authority within KGF.
Ordination takes place at a District Conference and is conducted by the Regional Bishop, while the ArchBishop retains ultimate sanctioning authority and may preside when present.
Consecration is the formal commissioning into a specific ministry office. Unlike ordination, it may occur multiple times as a minister’s calling, responsibility, or recognized office changes.
Offices include Deacon or Deaconess, Elder, Evangelist, Teacher, Pastor, Prophet, Apostle, and Bishop.
Complete mandatory foundational training through the District Conference in partnership with MTTC.
Credentials are issued and validated during the District Conference Session.
Advanced ordination preparation may begin after receiving priesthood certification.
Use the required period for spiritual growth, ministry involvement, and preparation.
Be ordained at the District Conference by the Regional Bishop, then attend the National Holy Convocation to receive the official tenets and complete induction.
